Product Overview of OG38 Organolithium Montmorillonite
NuGum OG38 is an organically modified lithium montmorillonite with good suspension stability and high thixotropic properties, which can effectively prevent the sinking of other insoluble particles and auxiliaries, avoid the production of hard lumps, improve the spreadability of the paste, and enhance its uniform dispersion ability. It is suitable for medium and low polarity raw materials, such as mineral oil, vegetable oil, petroleum distillates, etc. >>montmorillonite clay vs bentonite clay
After special control, heavy metals are less than 5ppm and microbiological control is less than 100 CFU/g.

Active additives are used as catalysts to aid dispersion, give maximum gelling efficiency and stabilise dispersion.
[How to use of Nugum OG38 Organolithium Montmorillonite]
Nugum OG38 is first dispersed in an organic liquid and sheared uniformly at high speed, then activator is added and high shear is continued.
Recommended usage is as follows:
① Pour some of the organic phase into a container and stir vigorously;
② Under stirring, add Eugenol OG38 to the above organic phase and continue mixing for about 5 minutes;
(iii) Add activator to the system and continue stirring for 5 minutes;
④ Put the mixed system into the high shear equipment and continue mixing to optimise the dispersion.
⑤ Mix with the remaining oil phase and mix well to obtain both stable organic gel.
Suggested additions in the formulation are 0.25~3%.
